Kizilcha


Kizilcha is the inner court yard which belongs to the VI-IV BC. It is located in Mirshodi oasis near Qiziltepa.


This inner court yard with sides of 30x30 meters was consisted of rooms intended for living, farming and cattle rearing. The rooms were located along the side of the yard. In the time of its early existence the yard consisted of two forecourts surrounded by clay wall. The length of the yard is 50-56, that is 25-30, the thickness is 10-12 cm, and it was made of crude brick and surrounded by exterior courtyard with a height of 3 meters. According to demography 20 -24 people lived in this court yard. During excavation works cylindrical vessels, saxifrages, Kelli tools, scythes and bows made of bronze and iron were found.
